Should Women Really Act Like Ladies & Think Like Men?

Now I know some of us black females enjoy reading these self-help books per se on how we should keep our black men or the truth behind relationships between black men and women, so I thought it would be a good idea to talk a little about Steve Harvey's new book, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man.
Now some of what he mentions in this book gave me quite a chuckle. I did the occasional "shaking my head", the "ummmm, yea okay", or my favorite (wish I could add some sound effects) "hmph". So for this entry I wanted to reference a chapter in his book and see what you readers think.
Harvey has a chapter titled Strong, Independent and Lonely Women. For those of you who have not read this book, the chapter is about how women need to take a step back and act like girls to allow men to take care of them. I'm not too sure how I feel about letting a man "take care" of me. Just the way those words are phrased rubs me the wrong way. Harvey says that "men are trained to be providers for women and that we as women are trained to look for that in men. And the moment that order is thrown off, the relationship becomes out of sync". I honestly believe that not all women are trained this way anymore because of the fact that there has been what some like to call a "lack of black men" out there willing to provide for us so we have trained ourselves to become strong and independent. We've grown up with women who have been role models for us and have nurtured us to be strong, independent and able to provide for ourselves.
According to Harvey, we shouldn’t give up our money, jobs or educations but that we should just act like ladies. Yea I know, what does that mean exactly? Basically he is saying that chivalry is NOT dead....and that acting like a girl means...
1.On a date, don't tell him where you want to go. Let him figure it out.
2.Don't tell him you'll drive, make him come to you.
3.Don't go dutch and make him pay.
4.Let him open the car door for you.
If we do most of these things, we will get what we want and need from this particular man.
Thoughts?
